Wind Turbine Study Results Are Published
In 2012, Health Canada began a study of Health Impacts and Exposure to Sound From Wind Turbines. This included Sound Power Level measurements of different Wind Turbines, noise level measurements at residences and an epidemiological field study, the administration of a computer assisted questionnaire, and the measurement of blood pressure and heart rate, sleep actimetry and of hair cortisol. The study was completed in late 2014 and now a series of technical papers have been published.
The papers appear together as a Special Section on WTN in the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America. The papers can be found by clicking here.
